Zwee Nelson, Training & Development Manager at Allied Universal
Prior to joining Allied Universal® as a Security Professional in 2011, Zwee Nelson, like many twentysomethings, was trying to figure out what she wanted to do when she “grew up.” After receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix, Zwee worked at a call center, as a general manager for a restaurant and ran a help desk for a company that made MP3 players.
“The one thing all these jobs had in common was customer service,” Zwee said. “Not only do I like to help others, but I enjoy creating a positive environment for my employees with efficiency and organization.”
Today, as Training & Development Manager, Zwee creates and teaches classes on the various tools in WinTeam/ETK, assists with WinTeam training for acquisitions and creates job aids and reference materials.
“As a ‘forever curious’ person, I love that my job includes testing tools and processes and the best part — I get to help employees hone their skills so they can get to the next level in their career journey.”
With five promotions under her belt over a 10-year span, Zwee’s positive energy and work ethic has served her well. A rapid-fire succession of ascending job titles includes Shift Lead, Field Supervisor, Operations Manager and Client Manager.
“I share knowledge, collaborate with a great team, have creative input and am able to explore new ideas, learn new skills each and every day,” Zwee said.
