A Higher Education Collaboration Prompts Roll Out of Campus Security Training

In time for National Campus Safety Awareness Month this September, Allied Universal, in partnership with Clery Center, a leading national, non-profit training and policy organization dedicated to creating safer campus communities, is unveiling a series of video-based roll call training tools for campus public safety personnel.

The First Step: Public Safety Roll Call Video Series, created by Clery Center, will consist of a suite of free 5-10 minute videos with accompanying companion guides.

These high-quality resources will enable institutions of higher education to deliver consistent, pertinent training for their public safety and security professionals.

Essential campus environment topics will cover: 
 

• The role of Campus Security Authorities under the Clery Act

• Sexual assault and higher education law

• Trauma informed response

• Communicating with the campus community

• Being an essential part of the fabric of campus culture and

• The importance of campus public safety officers in the broader campus community.

Also, as part of the groundbreaking partnership announced earlier this year, Allied Universal’s Higher Education vertical team will be participating in the Clery Center’s webinar, Training Campus Safety Professionals, on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET.
