Alyssa's Law

Emergency Response System for Our Schools

When a life-threatening emergency occurs – response time is of the essence. When law enforcement arrives quickly, they can take down threats and triage any victims. When there are delays, our communities are at risk.

What is Alyssa's Law

“Alyssa’s Law”—named after Alyssa Alhadeff, a victim of the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy—requires all public elementary and secondary schools and charter schools to have a silent panic alert system linked directly to first responders and law enforcement agencies.

Alyssa’s law was first implemented in New Jersey on February 6, 2019 and there are variations of this law in New York, Florida and Nebraska. While there is no national adoption of this law, it was introduced to Congress at the Federal Level for consideration.

Don’t Wait

While not all states have adopted Alyssa’s Law, or similar legislation, we do know that EVERY school could benefit from a silent panic alert system. Waiting until it becomes law simply puts students and staff at risk. Act Now!
