The World Health Organization has declared that the Ebola outbreak in West Africa has reached proportions of an international health emergency. Recently, the first case of this severe and often fatal disease was reported in the United States. Additionally, a respiratory infection called Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) has been spreading throughout the country, infecting mostly children.
